How big is Scratch Canvas?
The scratch panel is 16 in W × 12 in H (approximately 40.6 × 30.5 cm). With the wooden easel at the angle shown, the setup is approximately 17.3 in W × 12.8 in D × 11.6 in H (44 × 32.5 × 29.5 cm). The easel is adjustable, so its depth and height change with the angle.

What are Scratch Canvas panels made from?
The scratching surface is sisal, with the artwork printed directly onto the same surface your cat scratches. A bound edge keeps the panel finished, and the easel that displays it is wood.
What comes with the Bundle?
The Scratch Canvas Bundle includes 1 wooden easel, 1 Tiger panel, 1 Koi panel.
What comes with a Tiger or Koi single?
Scratch Canvas Tiger includes 1 wooden easel, 1 Tiger panel. Scratch Canvas Koi includes 1 wooden easel, 1 Koi panel.
Do replacement panels include the easel?
No. Panel only. Easel not included. Replacement panels are made for people who already own the wooden easel, in the same Tiger and Koi designs.
Are more scratch panel designs planned?
Yes. We plan to expand beyond Tiger and Koi with new colors and themes, with Tara leading future artwork. Special editions, holiday designs, artist collaborations, and panels created with animal welfare organizations are possibilities we hope to explore. We don’t have release dates or partnerships to announce yet.
Setup and care
Does Scratch Canvas require assembly?
No. The scratch panel arrives installed on the wooden easel. Set it flat on a sturdy, level floor to start. If you want an angle later, open the adjustable base and make sure the rear support is seated securely.
Can I swap the panels?
Yes. Hook-and-loop fastening strips underneath the panel hold it to the wooden easel. Lift the panel off and attach a different design whenever you want a change. Tiger and Koi panels both fit the same easel.
How should I place and use it safely?
Place the easel on a stable, level surface, either flat or at an angle with the rear support fully seated. Use with supervision at first, and remove any product from use if it becomes damaged, unstable, or unsafe.
What if my cat does not use Scratch Canvas right away?
That is normal. Start with the assembled Scratch Canvas set down flat and let your cat explore it on their own. If they still pass it by, change one thing at a time: placement first, beside a spot they already scratch; then the easel angle, matched to how they scratch; then the invitation, with play or a reward nearby rather than placing their paws on it. If you might return it, contact us within 14 calendar days of delivery, or purchase for in-person sales, even if you are still trying new setups.
How should the products be cleaned?
Spot clean only. If your product includes a wooden easel, do not soak the wood.
How long does a scratch panel last?
There is no single replacement schedule. Every cat scratches differently, but in our own home we have seen these panels hold up for months of regular use. Our current Tiger and Koi panels have been used daily for about two months, while earlier sisal samples from the same manufacturer have been in regular household use since December 2025. When a panel is ready for a refresh, a replacement panel fits the easel you already own.
How often should I replace my Scratch Canvas panel?
Replace by condition, not by calendar. Visible scratching and fiber wear are part of normal use and do not by themselves mean the panel needs replacing. Consider a fresh panel when the surface is heavily worn or damaged, when it becomes hard to keep appropriately clean, when it no longer sits securely, or whenever you simply want new artwork on the easel.
Shipping and delivery
How much is shipping?
Free standard shipping on Scratch Canvas sets and Tiger and Koi replacement panels, with no minimum order. Small items ordered on their own — like the Koi Fish Catnip Toy — ship at a flat $4.95 standard rate per order, and add no shipping charge at all when included with a Scratch Canvas set.
How quickly will my order ship?
Most in-stock orders are prepared within 2–4 business days after successful payment. Weekends and U.S. holidays are not business days. We will contact you if we expect a meaningful delay before shipment.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship to all 50 U.S. states. We do not currently ship internationally, to U.S. territories, PO boxes, or APO/FPO/DPO addresses. Local pickup is not currently an online checkout option, though products may be available for direct purchase at announced markets, craft shows, and similar events.
Will I receive tracking?
Yes. Orders ship through USPS or UPS using a tracked standard service chosen for the package and destination, and we send tracking to the email used at checkout when the order ships.
Returns and refunds
What is your return policy?
Contact us within 14 calendar days of delivery for a shipped order, or within 14 calendar days of an in-person purchase. Eligible preference returns are accepted when the product comes back complete, reasonably clean, and within the return-condition standards described in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
Who pays return shipping?
For an eligible preference return, the customer pays return shipping. If the return is needed because of a damaged, defective, incomplete, or incorrect order, Scratch Canvas covers return shipping when required.
Can I return Scratch Canvas if my cat does not use it?
Yes, if you contact us within the 14-day return window and the product otherwise qualifies for return. Because that is a preference return rather than a product issue, you are responsible for return shipping.
What if my order arrives damaged, defective, incomplete, or incorrect?
Contact us as soon as possible, and include clear photos when you can. If the problem is ours, we take responsibility for making it right, and we cover return shipping when a return is required.
Orders and support
Can you help me decide whether Scratch Canvas suits my cat?
Yes. Email the studio, or call or text, and Tanner or Tara will help you think through whether it fits what your cat scratches now, including when a tall vertical post might suit them better. After it arrives, we can help you choose one next change: placement, angle, or the invitation. We are not veterinarians, so a sudden change in scratching is a question for your veterinarian.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Contact us immediately and we will help if the order has not shipped. Changes and cancellations are not guaranteed once fulfillment has started.
Is online checkout open?
Yes. Online checkout is open for Scratch Canvas sets and replacement panels currently marked available. Some add-ons and coming-soon products are not yet available for standalone online purchase.
