Scratch Canvas arrives with a panel installed, so there is nothing to attach on day one. When you want a change, lift the installed panel, align the other design, and press it into place using the hook-and-loop fastening underneath.

Material + real-world use
Sisal, made to be scratched
The scratching surface is sisal, with the artwork printed directly onto the same surface your cat scratches. A bound edge keeps the panel finished and ready to display.
How long does a panel last?
There is no single replacement schedule. Every cat scratches differently, but in our own home we have seen these panels hold up for months of regular use. How often you replace yours will depend on how much your cat scratches and when the panel feels ready for a refresh.

Our Tiger and Koi panels have been used every day for about two months. They look used, because they are, but they still look like art. These photos show exactly how they look today.
Earlier samples, same manufacturer
In use since December 2025
Before Tiger and Koi, we tested earlier sisal panels from the same manufacturer. They have been used regularly in our home since December 2025 and remain in strong usable condition. They are not the current printed designs, but they give us a longer view of how this sisal surface wears over time.
Keep the easel
When a panel wears out
Replace only the panel and keep the easel. Panel only. Easel not included.
Replace by condition, not by calendar: visible scratching is what the panel is for. Consider a fresh canvas when the surface is heavily worn or damaged, when it becomes hard to keep clean, when it no longer sits securely, or whenever you want new artwork on the easel.

What comes with a Tiger or Koi single?
Scratch Canvas Tiger includes 1 wooden easel, 1 Tiger panel. Scratch Canvas Koi includes 1 wooden easel, 1 Koi panel.
How much is shipping?
Free standard shipping on Scratch Canvas sets and Tiger and Koi replacement panels, with no minimum order. Small items ordered on their own — like the Koi Fish Catnip Toy — ship at a flat $4.95 standard rate per order, and add no shipping charge at all when included with a Scratch Canvas set.
Does Scratch Canvas require assembly?
No. The scratch panel arrives installed on the wooden easel. Set it flat on a sturdy, level floor to start. If you want an angle later, open the adjustable base and make sure the rear support is seated securely.
Can I swap the panels?
Yes. Hook-and-loop fastening strips underneath the panel hold it to the wooden easel. Lift the panel off and attach a different design whenever you want a change. Tiger and Koi panels both fit the same easel.
How should I place and use it safely?
Place the easel on a stable, level surface, either flat or at an angle with the rear support fully seated. Use with supervision at first, and remove any product from use if it becomes damaged, unstable, or unsafe.
How should the products be cleaned?
Spot clean only. If your product includes a wooden easel, do not soak the wood.

What is your return policy?
Contact us within 14 calendar days of delivery for a shipped order, or within 14 calendar days of an in-person purchase. Eligible preference returns are accepted when the product comes back complete, reasonably clean, and within the return-condition standards described in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
Is online checkout open?
Yes. Online checkout is open for Scratch Canvas sets and replacement panels currently marked available. Some add-ons and coming-soon products are not yet available for standalone online purchase.
