Fits every Scratch Canvas easel
Hook-and-loop strips underneath each Scratch Panel hold it to the adjustable wooden easel. To swap artwork or replace a worn panel, lift the current panel off, align the next one, and press it into place. Koi and Tiger panels fit the same easel.
Tiger and Koi are our first two designs. We plan to add more colors and themes as the collection grows.

From easel to floor
Three ways to use a Scratch Panel: on the adjustable wooden easel at one of its angles, on the easel folded flat with the panel still attached, or lifted off and placed on the floor. The Koi and Tiger panels both come off and attach again with the same hook-and-loop fastening. A Scratch Panel bought on its own can lie flat on a stable, level floor by itself, or attach to any Scratch Canvas easel.

Display the panel on the wooden easel, where it reads as art in the room.
Lift it off
Support the easel while lifting the panel from a corner.
Use it flat
Place the detached panel on a stable, level surface and check for sliding.
Press it back on
Align the hook-and-loop strips, press firmly, and check the attachment before use.

A little wear is part of the work.
Place
Lay the Scratch Panel flat on a stable, level floor where it will not slide easily. If it shifts, reposition it before your cat uses it.
Attach
If using a Scratch Canvas easel, place it on a stable, level surface. Lift off any panel already installed, then align and press the Scratch Panel securely into place. Check that it does not shift before your cat uses it.
Care
Spot clean only. Trim loose fibers if they appear. If using a wooden easel, do not soak it.
Stop using
Remove the panel from use if it is damaged, unstable, unsafe, or no longer attaches securely. Consider a fresh panel when the surface is heavily worn or difficult to keep reasonably clean.

- Visible scratch marks and some fiber wear are part of normal use. On their own, they do not mean the panel needs replacing.
- Inspect
- Heavy wear, or a surface that is difficult to keep reasonably clean. Consider a fresh panel.
- Stop using
- Damage, instability, an unsafe condition, or a panel that no longer attaches securely.

What arrives, where the panel can be used, how it swaps onto an easel, and how ordering works.
Does a Scratch Panel sold on its own include an easel?
No. A Scratch Panel bought on its own comes without a wooden easel. Use it flat on a stable, level floor, or attach it to any Scratch Canvas easel. Koi and Tiger panels both fit.
Can I use it flat or take the panel off?
Yes. You can use a Scratch Panel flat in two ways.
Attached to the easel: fold the assembled easel flat with the Scratch Panel still attached and set it on a stable, level floor. There’s no need to take the panel off.
On its own: lift the Scratch Panel off the wooden easel and lay it flat on the floor for your cat to explore, scratch, or sit on. Choose a stable, level spot and supervise first use. If the panel shifts during use, reposition it securely before letting your cat continue.
To put it back on the easel, line up the hook-and-loop strips, press the panel into place, and check that it’s attached securely before your cat uses it.
How much is shipping?
Koi and Tiger sets and Scratch Panels ship free with standard shipping and no minimum order.
Small items such as the Koi Fish Catnip Toy have a $4.95 standard shipping charge per order when ordered without a Koi or Tiger set. Adding them to a Koi or Tiger set adds no shipping charge.
A Scratch Panel ships free itself, but it doesn’t remove the $4.95 charge for small items in the same order. Some add-ons, such as wand toys, are only available with a qualifying order and aren’t sold on their own.
How do I swap the panels?
Lift the current panel off the wooden easel to release the hook-and-loop strips underneath. Line up the other panel and press it into place. Check that it’s attached securely before your cat uses it.
Koi and Tiger panels fit the same easel.
What is Scratch Canvas made from?
The scratching surface is sisal, with the artwork printed directly onto it. The art your cat sees is the surface they scratch. Each panel has a bound edge, and the easel is wood.
How often will I need to replace the Scratch Panel?
There’s no fixed lifespan or replacement schedule. Wear depends on how often and how hard your cat scratches. Visible scratch marks and some fiber wear are expected and don’t automatically mean it’s time for a new panel.
Consider a fresh panel when the surface is heavily worn or difficult to keep reasonably clean. If a panel is damaged or no longer attaches securely to the easel, remove it from use. When it’s time, keep your easel if it’s still in good condition and add another Scratch Panel.
How do I clean it?
Spot clean only. If your product includes a wooden easel, don’t soak the wood.
What is your return policy?
Contact us within 14 calendar days of delivery, or within 14 calendar days of purchase if you bought in person. You’ll need your order number or other proof of purchase.
Light, normal scratching during a genuine trial is okay. Return all included parts, reasonably clean and in returnable condition. Heavy staining, contamination, missing parts, alteration, misuse, or excessive wear or damage may make a return ineligible.
